(1) To understand why learners produce errors and their significance in language teaching
(2) To consider what we learn from Japanese SLA research and how to apply its findings to pedagogy
Seminar 2: Shadowing practice for the development of communicative competence
(1) To focus on the importance of output and discuss its application to Japanese L2 classroom
(2) To analyse the potential and problems of application of shadowing practice to Japanese classroom from the
examples of SLA studies on shadowing
