Outline of the seminar In this seminar, Professor Kawakami will first present a lecture about the study field as Children Crossing Borders. From the viewpoint of mobilities and Languages, we will explore what ‘learning a language’ and ‘education of language’ mean, reflecting on how the experiences of being brought up in a plurilingual environment influences you throughout your lifetime - children, university students, parents and the elderly. Subsequently, we will have group discussions about topics assigned beforehand, and finally exchange our views all together.
